Stop yelling

For as long as I can remember, there has always been this burning fire in me. Some kind of anger at the world. Unexplained. I was an angry child who learned how to mask it well. So the walls beyond my home never heard the yells from within. With bruised knuckles and a scratchy throat, I closed off from the world around me and accepted the label of being the 'problem child'. And for years, I blamed my father. Because I thought that perhaps being raised by an angry man, would turn me into just what I feared most.

But now I think, maybe being angry, was just easier than being sad.
