a villain's ending is written before their story...

i guess i never really stood a chance, because i'd already written my ending before i even started the story. i doomed myself to a life of misery and loneliness. pushing people away and blowing out every spark of light that came my way. i felt the need to protect myself, keep up this facade of a strong person that i tried so hard to be. because i knew in the end, i'd end up the way all villains do at the end of the story, alone and defeated. so i was merely waiting for the last page. awaiting my return to the dusty shelf where i'd be forgotten about once again.
